The inaugural Board meeting of the Lake Endemic Region Malaria CSO Network (LERN), held at PineCone Hotel in Kisumu, marked the most important milestone in the network's journey. Bringing together ten distinguished experts with diverse knowledge, experience, and commitment, the meeting established the leadership foundation needed to turn ambition into meaningful results. It was the moment LERN's vision gained momentum, collective ownership, and the expertise required to drive its success.
The Board meeting set the network on a clear path towards implementation. Through strategic orientation and focused deliberations, the Board developed an action plan and established functional subcommittees to guide delivery, strengthen accountability, and coordinate priorities. These decisions transformed the network's aspirations into a practical framework for action, laying the foundation for effective governance and sustained progress towards achieving LERN's mission.
